maybe, in the grand scheme of things, we are doomed.

i once watched a video on youtube where the narrator explained that all humans are related, even if distantly. i don't know how accurate that is, honestly, because i did not look into it. it seems a reasonable conclusion, whether you adhere to the biblical sense of human creation, or the evolutionary sense of human creation.

so for the sake of this conversation, let's assume that statement is accurate.

i think it may explain the fact that human health, especially mentally, seems to degrade over the generations. if everyone is being inbred to increasing degree, there is bound to be biological and/or neurological consequences to that. unfortunately, this would seem to paint a grim prediction for the future of humans. think along the lines of the hapsburg jaw, but for mental instability. actually even the hapsburg line may have had mental decline along with physical, i don't remember it's been a while since i read about that.

at any rate, if decline is built into the hardware, so to speak, is it reasonable to expect anyone to be able to fix the decay we are already witnessing?
is asking someone to fix it only guaranteeing to make it worse, as we've done so many times in the past while trying to "fix" things?

thinking about it too long tends to bum me out.
try not to be too pessimistic.
if everything is falling apart, there is no better time to go find something that makes you happy. you know, before it's so fallen apart it's all gone.
you still got time.
just don't hurt anyone.
me, i like walking where there aren't any people. music's good, too.
